Ack! Sorry to hear about the yucky feels this person has triggered in you. I like your word choice… “triggered”, rather than “caused”, which places direct blame on another person for the feelings you are having. That tells me that you already understand the whole concept of you being the one in charge of your emotions. Still, some people do trigger the hell out of us and we find ourselves in a state of total disarray.
Here are the cards I pulled for you:
Situation: Five of Wands
This card is all about disagreements and differences in opinion. It can also be about internally conflicting feelings— feeling at war with yourself, higher self vs. lower self, uncertainty about a choice. This card advises that you take a stand, voice your opinion, and possibly try to just change the whole situation if you can. Also, it advises you to remember that whatever you do, there will never be 100% positive support from others… don’t let that mess with your head! It’s just the way things are.
Advice: The High Priestess
Oooh, I like this. The High Priestess is the serene, wise and extremely intuitive female energy that I can already tell you possess just by looking over your blog. 🙂
She advises you to pay attention to your dreams— there may be some divine knowledge she’s trying to offer you there. She is all about what lies hidden in the subconscious mind. Trust what comes to you via your subconscious. You said that you are feeling a lot of anxiety while trying to interact socially, and I think this card relates to that specific problem. Perhaps you really just need to take a time-out from the busy, hectic social realm and delve deep into your own psyche. Meditation, meditation, meditation!
Outcome: Eight of Pentacles
The Apprentice card. The Eight of Pentacles is all about working hard with the skills you have. It also brings up concepts such as learning by doing, building foundations for the future, and the promise of slow but steady improvement. This mainly relates to the physical/material realm, but it can certainly apply to all aspects of life. Overall, a good card to have in a future position.
Here’s something interesting I just found from another site:
Next to The HIGH PRIESTESS:
The Eight of Pentacles appearing next to The High Priestess in a reading it is a cautionary warning to remain focused and to not become complacent or careless in regards to business and finances. Things may seem to be going to plan at the moment, but you are to stay vigilant. – http://tarot-theroyalroad.blogspot.com/2011/07/8-eight-of-pentacles-viii.html
Hm. Well, I hope this helps! Namaste and best of luck with your situation!
